Na‘alae Beef Company has the beef
Aloha friends,
We’d love for you to get to know a little bit about the family who raised the cattle the beef some of you might have tried and some of you might like to consider trying. Farm Link Hawai‘i purchases entire carcasses from Na‘alae Beef Company. In Maui, the carcasses are cut in primal cuts which are then sent to our warehouse on O‘ahu. Our in-house butcher, Bob McGee of Pono Provisions, further processes them into the cuts that you know and love and he also dry ages the steaks.
We are grateful for the Jacintho’s cattle adventures and for the opportunity to share their family’s hard work and dedication to raising healthy cattle with you. The first cut might be the deepest, according to Sheryl Crow, but the best cuts are the tastiest and we have them on our marketplace! Peruse the many cuts of beef from Na‘alae Beef Company and for the freshest inventory for Sunday and Monday deliveries.
Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

Na‘alae Beef Company is a family-run cattle operation four generations in the making. Manual Jacintho worked diligently as a mason and with the money he earned and saved he bought small parcels of land across Kula as they became available for purchase.
Manual continued to work as a mason working on projects like the Road to Hana. He became a part-time rancher to supplement the family income and mostly to grow food to feed the family. Inspired by his father Manual, Frank later on expanded on ranching.
These days, William Jacintho, Manual’s great grandson, continues the tradition, along with his wife, Annie, and their two kids, Katie and Daniel. Across nearly 1000 acres, some of which they lease, the Jacintho’s raise Angus, Wagyu, and Brangus (a cross between Angus and Brahman known for their heat and high humidity tolerances).
Like his great-grandfather, William takes pride in growing their pasture-raised cattle without the use of hormones, antibiotics, or any artificial stimulants. You are what you eat, and that goes not only for us, but also further back the food chain. Twenty years ago, the family established Na‘alae Beef Company which provides high quality beef from cattle that feed entirely on beautiful grass growing on rich soils across Kula and Hana too. This diet results in beef that is leaner, healthier, and wilder in flavor.
William who remembers tending to his first calf when he was 8-years old, loves the lifestyle of being a rancher. “The animals dictate your life,” he said. “Every day you wake up and you have a plan, but you never really know what’s going to come up. It keeps you going. It’s an adventure.”
